Thermodynamics
(updated May 2011, known as version 3.11)
-
This document contains a new specification of the CAPE-OPEN Thermodynamic and
Physical Properties interfaces. The specification has two parts: a conceptual
model of how CAPE-OPEN Thermodynamic and Physical Properties components interact
with their host environments and a detailed reference section describing each
method of the interfaces.
- Changes in this version:
- This interface specification is a major revision of the previous CAPE-OPEN
Thermodynamic and Physical Properties interfaces document published under
version 1.0. The functionality covered by the interfaces is slightly extended,
but the main motivations for the changes are simplification, increased
flexibility and the removal of ambiguities. These are the issues that emerged
most strongly from testing implementations of version 1.0 of the specification.
Version 1.1 by itself, as well as its documentation, are designed to make it
easier to understand the interfaces, and therefore to implement CAPE-OPEN
components, and to make interoperability of CAPE-OPEN components more easily
achievable.
- An Errata and Clarifications document has been developed by the CO-LaN Thermo SIG and its current version, dated
January 2012,
has been approved for release by the Thermo SIG. This document should be used together with the complete interface specification.
