A paper titled "Development of an Industrial Multitubular Fixed Bed Catalytic Reactor as CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation Model Applied to Ethene Production by Ethanol Dehydration Process" by Edvaldo Rodrigo de Morais, Betania Hoss Lunelli, Ruben Ramirez Jaimes, Igor Ricardo de Souza Victorino, Maria Regina Wolf Maciel and Rubens Maciel Filho from State University of Campinas in Brazil, has been published recently in Chemical Engineering Transactions.
The paper describes how a wrapper in C#/.Net has been developed around a calculation model written in FORTRAN 95. The resulting CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation has been used in Aspen Hysys from Aspentech.
