SolidSim Engineering GmbH (www.solidsim.com) is a new company set up to further develop and market SolidSim, the process simulator targeted at modelling processes handling solids. SolidSim has been developed at Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg with the support of a number of industrial companies. CO-LaN is pleased to note that SolidSim architecture has been based on CAPE-OPEN standards and especially version 1.1 of the Thermodynamic and Physical Properties interface specification. Another CAPE-OPEN feature of SolidSim is that a process model made in SolidSim can be plugged as a Unit Operation in another CAPE-OPEN Process Modelling Environment.
