Infochem Computer Services Ltd has awarded for 2009 a free-of-charge MultiFlash license to CO-LaN. It is worth noting that this kind of
arrangement has been in place for a number of years now, in fact starting in 2005. This enables CO-LaN to perform interoperability tests involving
MultiFlash software as a Process Modeling Component supporting CAPE-OPEN thermodynamic interfaces under version 1.0 and version 1.1 of the CAPE-OPEN
standards. CO-LaN is thankful to Infochem for its renewed commitment towards interoperability tests.
The license renewal comes together with release of MultiFlash version 3.8. There are several improvements and extensions in MultiFlash 3.8
especially with the enhancement of the PVT characterisation method. The most notable improvement, as far as CO-LaN, is concerned is that the CAPE-OPEN
interface has been rewritten to improve efficiency and to add new facilities.
Support for Persistence and Editing of Property Packages has been added. All software components are now provided in a single DLL.
Support for new constant and mixture properties (as well as their derivatives for mixture properties) has also been added.
Looking forward to make use of these new features in various tests!
