The 5th CAPE-OPEN US Conference will be held within the 2008 AIChE Annual meeting. The 5th CAPE-OPEN US Conference is a Topical Conference that will take place on two days between November 17 and November 21, 2008. The conference is organized at the Philadelphia Marriott & Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. A general call for papers has been issued by AIChE and is open till May 11, 2008.

Four sessions have been set up within the 5th CAPE-OPEN US Conference: a general session, one session on Thermodynamic interfaces and one on Unit Operation interfaces. There is also one session arranged as an interoperability workshop. CO-LaN Management Board encourages CO-LaN membership and other parties to propose papers in the three sessions meant for presentations. Plans can already be made by those wanting to participate in the Interoperability Workshop session where the CO-LaN laptop will be present.
