On October 19 was published on line a paper "Development of a chemical process modelling environment based on CAPE-OPEN interface standards and the Microsoft .NET framework" by Bill Barrett and Jun Yang, respectively at US EPA and University of Cincinnati. The paper describes in details the architecture of a process modelling environment developed at US EPA and implementing many of the interface specifications of the CAPE-OPEN standards. The software will soon be available in open source. Interoperability tests are underway at CO-LaN.
