CAPE-OPEN UPDATE, Volume 10

CAPE-OPEN UPDATE is a publication of the CAPE-OPEN Laboratories Network (CO-LaN), a non-profit consortium for the development of the CAPE-OPEN standard.

INTEROPERABILITY WORKSHOP

The workshop was run in the same way as a poster session in a conference. The meeting room was arranged with tables available for participants planning to show software or discuss technical problems. Four video projectors were available so that demos could be shown to small groups of attendees.  There was no formal agenda.

This format allowed:

• Extended demonstration of material from presentations in the Showcase, with more technical insight.
• Demonstration of additional components and PMEs
• Interoperability testing between different software components
• Tests using the CO Logger
• Focused discussions in small groups.

It represented a unique opportunity for CAPE-OPEN users, developers, experts and suppliers to meet together for free discussions. The organizations that took part were: AixCAPE, AspenTech, ChemSep, Fantoft, HTRI, IFP, PSE, RSI, SimSci, TUV-NEL and UPC. Pictures of the Workshop can be seen on the CO-LaN website www.colan.org.
